“NEWPORT NEWS. The largest maritime library in the Northern Hemisphere now lives under a three-story cupola on the Christopher Newport University campus.
The Mariner’s Museum and CNU officially opened the collection’s new home in the Trible Library on Thursday. The collection takes up about one-quarter of the University’s library building, with a spacious reading room, stacks, storage space and environmentally controlled areas for fragile and rate items.
The Mariners’ Museum Library is open to the public as well as scholars and students.”
